Known to have the best teas to hit Chicagoland area, Lela Rocquemore, owner of The Sweetest Thing – Teas and Sweets, is taking over one sweet-toothed customer at a time.

Rocquemore began her entrepreneurship journey in 2006 launching her very first catering business “Soul For Life”and eventually branching off into exclusivity into desserts and teas. Rocquemore now offers 75 flavors of cheesecake, nine gourmet bread pudding recipes, and nine flavors of cobbler. But it only gets better! 

Longtime Customers of The Sweetest Thing -Teas and Sweets have professed to her teas as addictive and the best on the face of the earth. Aside from offering more than 10 flavors of real fruit infused teas and delicious desserts, Rocquemore juggles being a wife of 13 years, first lady of Power House International Ministries, and mother to nine children. 

“Don’t put off tomorrow, for what you can do today” is one quote Rocquemore lives by as she expresses the various shifts in her journey of being a business owner. Throughout it all, her biggest inspiration has been God and making those she builds customer relationships with, happy.
